Jehan Casinader

Award-winning journalist Jehan Casinader is our MC for NZPF Conference 2025.

Jehan is one of New Zealand’s top storytellers and has a long association with NZPF, having hosted many of our conferences over the past decade.

He was named “Reporter of the Year” at the New Zealand Television Awards, and “Best Political Columnist” at the Voyager Media Awards.

In the aftermath of natural disasters, terror attacks, sporting triumphs and everything in between, Jehan has helped hundreds of Kiwis to share their deeply personal stories with the rest of the country.

A survivor of depression and suicidality, he is the author of the 2020 book “This Is Not How It Ends: How rewriting your story can save your life” (HarperCollins).

As a speaker and thought leader, Jehan helps to shape important national conversations about topics like wellbeing, leadership and diversity.

Jehan is a passionate advocate for teachers and school leaders, and looks forward to reconnecting with our NZPF members in his hometown, Wellington.
